Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman, an American gymnast, was a member of both the Fierce Five 2012 as well as the Final Five 2016 US Women's Olympic Gymnastics teams. In the 2012 Olympics in London she took home gold medals in floor and team competitions, as well as a bronze medal in the balance beam. She was the first American to have won many Olympic medals. She took gold for team at the 2016 Olympics that made her and Gabby Douglas first Americans to win back-to-back golds. Silver medals were also awarded in both the all-around individual as well as floor workouts. The three years that passed between the two Olympics, she took a break. The gold medal she won for the American team also won the two World Championships. As a young girl, she began to learn gymnastics. Her favourite event is floor exercises. Aly is a member of the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization in memory of her grandmother who died due to cancer. She hopes to become an entrepreneur in fashion and broaden her line of socks and leotards in the coming years. Fierce - a novel she's writing, will be released this year.
