Jacques Bermon Webster III (born April 30 1993) is an American rapper from the United States. His stage name is the combination of the name of a favorite uncle, and the initials Kid Cudi (whose real identity is Scott Mescudi), Scott signed his debut major-label contract in 2012 with Epic Records. He signed a joint record deal with Epic Records and T.I. He is signed to Epic and T.I.'s Grand Hustle imprint. Scott's debut album, Owl Pharaoh was self-released on his own in 2013. In 2013 Scott self-released the mixtape Owl Phaoh. Another mixtape, Days Before Rodeo was released in 2014. Rodeo (2015) Rodeo (2015), his debut album on the studio, featured the hit single "Antidote". The second album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight (2016) was the first Billboard 200 number one album. Scott's second album, Birds in the Trap: Sing McKnight (2016) was an album that was a collaboration with Quavo. The album was called Huncho Jack Huncho and included his first Billboard Hot 100 single, "Sicko Mode" which featured Drake. Scott's Cactus Jack Records album JackBoys debuted on the Billboard 200 in late 2019. After the debut of his hit single "Franchise" (featuring Young Thug and M.I.A.) Scott became the first artist in the Hot 100 to have three singles reach number one in less than an entire year, in the year 2020.
